Description

The Open Source Technology Center is looking for talented software engineers to develop web browser for Mobile Linux Platform.  Your duties will include browser architectural design, development, trouble-shooting, optimization, etc to achieve a world-class browser product.  Key technical focus areas include web browser internals(e.g. the HTML layout engine, javascript engine, etc), Graphics Library of 2D/3D, Performance & memory footprint tuning, etc.  This position also requires positive interaction with the Linux community

to ensure code is developed in high quality and adopted in upstream community projects as appropriate. 

Requirements:

• 5+ year professional software design/development experience. Working experience on web browser technology (e.g. Mozilla Firefox/Gecko engine or Webkit engine, etc) is a big plus.

• A bachelor degree (or above) in Computer Science or related areas. A master degree is preferred.

• Solid design and programming skills with C/C++

• Knowledge and experience in at least 2 key areas of interests:  HTML layout engine, Javascript Engine, QT/GTK, 2D/3D Graphics Programming, Performance/Memory Optimization, or other infrastructure level software development

• Demonstrate a high level of flexibility and ability to participate in multiple areas of a nimble organization

• A background in Linux* middleware, library, application, system design and/or development

• Fluent in English

• Experience of interacting with the Linux* community would be an added advantage
